Fiosrachadh mun phròiseact

'S e Comann Eachdraidh na Comraich a tha air am pròiseact seo a thoirt gu buil, le taic airgid bho Bhòrd na Gàidhlig agus Maoin Iasgaich na h-Eòrpa, gu sònraichte Buidheann Ghnìomha Iasgachd Ionadail na Gàidhealtachd (EFF / Highland FLAG). Tha eachdraidh iasgach na Comraich air a bhith gu math cudromach ann a bhith a' cumail muinntir na sgìre a' dol thairis air na linntean agus, mar sin, tha e iomchaidh gun toir an Comann Eachdraidh sùil air na bàtaichean agus na daoine air a bheil sluagh na Comraich cho eòlach.

Chaidh an rannsachadh a dhèanamh ann an 2014, agus tha Comann Eachdraidh na Comraich fada an comain nan daoine a ghabh

pàirt agus a chuidich sinn airson seo a thoirt gu buil.

Applecross Historical Society has put this project together, with financial support from Bòrd na Gàidhlig and the European Fisheries Fund, especially its Highland Fisheries Local Action Group (EFF / Highland FLAG). The fishing history of Applecross has been hugely important in helping to sustain the community over the centuries and, as such, it is appropriate that the Society looks at the boats that were known across the area and those fishermen who were so well-known.

This research was carried out in 2014, and the Applecross Historical Society is very grateful to everyone who took part in, and supported, the project, and helped us to make it a reality.
